Terms & Conditions of Service

1. General

All assessments and testing services are conducted in accordance with current UK regulations and best practice guidance.

Clients agree to provide clear and safe access to all areas required for assessment or testing.

Prices are subject to change but will be confirmed prior to booking. A written quotation may be provided upon request.

Payment terms are strictly within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)

Testing is performed according to the IET Code of Practice and relevant guidance under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

Appliances must be easily accessible. Items not readily available for inspection may be excluded and noted.

Results will be documented and reported in a formal certificate including pass/fail details and fuse/cable ratings.

Any failed appliances will be clearly identified. We do not undertake repairs unless specifically agreed.

Re-tests or additional appliances added on the day may incur further charges.

3. Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

EPCs are conducted under RdSAP 10 methodology as approved by the UK Government.

Recommendations are based on data collected during the visit.

Clients must ensure the property is accessible, including loft areas and hot water systems.

We do not accept liability for inaccuracies arising from inaccessible or undisclosed property features.

EPCs will be lodged via the national register and a copy provided to the client within 24 to 72 hours after any outstanding invoices have been settled.

An EPC rating is advisory and may not reflect actual energy usage.

4. Legionella Risk Assessment

Risk assessments are completed in line with HSE ACOP L8 and HSG274 Part 2.

Property water systems must be operational and accessible. Drains, outlets, tanks, and pipework may be inspected.

A detailed report highlighting risk areas and recommended control measures will be issued.

Clients are responsible for implementing control measures unless a management contract is in place.

5. Cancellation & Liability

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment may be subject to a fee.

We shall not be held liable for delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, access issues).

Liability for loss or damage is limited to the cost of the assessment unless negligence is proven.
